1 X POST: Informal Settlement Clerk B3

The successful candidate shall be responsible for:

  • To implement technical services in respect of town planning  to ensure the construction and demarcation of a planned informal settlements within the Town, in accordance with Town Planning scheme

Key performance:

  • Informal settlement control
  • Primary properties evaluation
  • Town Planning Services

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 or Qualification in land management/ or equivalent qualification.
  • two (2) years working experience in land management
  • Land use/ Technical Skills in land management and building environment
  • Innovativeness
  • Ability to work independently
  • Communication skills
  • analytical skills, planning skills, Computer literate, Time management
  • Self-starting initiative
  • Fluent in English
  • Must be a Namibian citizen
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

 

1 X POST: Building Inspector C4

The successful candidate shall be responsible for:

  • To exercise control over the construction of formal and informal building structures and related infrastructure to ensure adherence to Council’s infrastructure’s specifications

Key performance:

  • Supervision
  • Building Inspection
  • Informal settlement control

Minimum requirements

  • N4 Civil qualification/ or equivalent qualification.
  • three (3) years working experience in Civil Construction
  • Bricklaying skills, Technical Skills in construction and building environment
  • Innovativeness
  • Ability to work independently
  • Communication skills
  • analytical skills, planning skills, Computer literate, Time management
  • Self-starting initiative
  • Fluent in English
  • Must be a Namibian citizen
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

 

Salary package: The Council offers attractive salary package commensurate with experience and qualification, housing subsidy, 13th cheque, medical aid and pension fund as fringe benefits.

NB: Only shortlisted candidates who meet the requirements will be conducted. Those not contacted within two to three weeks as from the closing date, must be accepted that their applications were unsuccessful.  No fax will be accepted.
